I’m taking some time off this summer from both the Substack and the podcast to regroup and relax a bit.
I’ll still be working, but at a slower pace and not on a deadline. I’ll be reworking, restructuring, and figuring out what’s working for me (and you) and what’s not.
These are some of the questions I’m asking:
Am I happy with the content I’m putting out? How could it be more helpful, more robust, more impactful? Clearer? Where am I holding back?
Changing the pace can help shift your perspective and clarify how you want things to move forward. Sometimes it’s essential to step back so you can move forward in a meaningful way.
It’s been an incredible 18 months since I launched “How To Blow Up Your Life.” Not only have I started this weekly writing project:
- I was a part of the inaugural cast of LoveNotes!, an off-Broadway storytelling event here in NYC.
- My story was published in LoveNotes: A Story Telling Anthology, which is now up for a National Indie Excellence Award (see more below).
- Repped Team 50’s in the Generation Women residency shows at Joe’s Pub four (YES 4!!) times, including the 2024 Best Of show.
- Co-produced several writers’ workshops with
- Attended just as many, including those hosted by
and Nancy Aroni.- Launched a podcast
- Finished my first manuscript, How to Blow Up Your Life in Three Simple Steps (out in January 2026).
I have loved every minute of it, and the best part is getting to know you - your struggles, your achievements, and your growth. You’ve been my biggest joy.
And, it’s time to come up for air for a few weeks.
You’ll still be getting weekly emails with some ‘best of’ material and probably some pics of what I’m up to, so stay tuned. :-)

Joy is the Resistance: What Jess Greenwood Taught Me About Finding Light in the Dark
