I love finding these little nuggets in your posts. I just purchased these 2 books for my Kindle and checking out her workshops.

Your journey is inspiring and I’ve only followed bits and pieces since we met at Soar, but seriously, you’re brave and you’ve inspired me!

I wholeheartedly agree. Beginning to write my memoir or "Momoir" as I call it has helped me unpack and examine not just my experience as a mother-something I longed to be from the time I was four-but also as a human. Lisajonesteaches.com is another incredible writing teacher in Colorado who teaches in person and remotely and her prompts for what she calls "The Heroine's Journey" lead you through literary examples that help you become a genius writer in community. And now I want to learn more about Nancy Aronie.

Momoir - Love it! I read your profile, Deb and we probably have a lot in common. I have neurodivergent kids as well. Thank you for including Lisa's information here, too!

I love meeting new people, it's my favorite thing after artisanal dark chocolate (certified chocolate snob here). I look forward to reading deeper.

YES! Writing in community, so powerful, so connective. I agree with Jess, let's try "the telling and the witnessing" on a daily basis. xo

"The telling and the witnessing." Can we all just do that every day? And then take like a month off to go on a silent retreat, drink wine, and sit in nature? As I start to ghostwrite memoir, one thing I'm studying carefully is how to get to that gut, because we avoid going there until there's nowhere left to go. I feel like the witnessing is a crucial part because as we allow ourselves to be seen, we feel safe to reveal even more of ourselves to the audience. Such a beautiful practice.

You are absolutely right, Jess - beautifully said. And yes, doing something like this each day sounds wonderful!

Doesn't it though? It would be such a lovely practice to initiate, although I worry about the people that are going to be responsible for doing the witnessing in my life on a daily basis. 🤣
