"When it comes to civilization, we have more free time than any societal group in human history." << That fact is staggering and so true. We don't have to hunt for food or handmake everything we need, yet we still can't seem to stop burning the candle at both ends. Perhaps the reason is because we're so physically lazy that we're not burning the energy required to actually get a proper sleep.
I see what you mean— Most of us live sedentary lives, so we go to the gym. And we also say we don't have time to go to the gym 😂! I just said that this morning.
“busy……with the things we’ve invented to occupy our time”. It’s taken me 40 years to understand this. I’m still learning.
