I always joke that I'm the mother of my inner child (when asked if I have any kids -- that's my go-to besides "not that I know of..."). But I haven't done inner child work. And as the grown ass woman version of a child who was mercilessly teased and bullied (thankfully before the digital / social media age), I have some inner child work to do. Where do you recommend starting? Looking forward to watching this video when my ADHD attention span allows. ♥️

Hi, Laura. Mothering your inner child is a great place to start! I typically have clients sit quietly for a few minutes with a journal and ask their inner child, 'What do you need from me today?' and see what comes up. Write for five minutes (or 10 or whatever you have time/attention for). If you can listen to the interview, we've added other ways to begin toward the end of the episode. Let me know how it goes!
